Standardized Test Flaskbacks!

My sister's wedding is fast approaching and I am getting frantic emails. I don't think she is worried about being married, but about getting married.
Blah blah blah hair stuff... where do you want to do it?
1) island
2) @ the hotel using their electricity/sink then come over (probably on the 11:00)
3) get your hair done in town and come over on the 11:00 (ferry)
Just to clarify, this is on a limited electricity/pluming island, so everything is 10x more complicated. There are ferries at certain times and ahh! I don't know.

Every email is like a multiple choice quiz. Please hun, just send over a scantron sheet. I like them bubbles!

God I don't know what to answer. I think our hair will just get windblown either way! I don't care, I just want what is easiest for her but she can't make that decision on her own. I think she feels like she has to ask if every thing's okay. Deary, you're the bride! I's your day! All we want to do is make it as easy and fun and beautiful and celibitory for you! Ahh.

My favorite thing about these emails is that next to her name comes this beautiful picture:
"I cant see the straws!" ahahaha! I don't drink so she had mine. They were "Pom-Fili": white wine, vodka, triple sec, pomegranate juice. I guess it was pretty strong!

Netflix Suggestions Please!

My Netflix queue is pathetic. I need recommendations. To give you an idea of my tastes, I have prepared a list!

My favorite movies are:
  • Hedwig and the Angry Inch
  • My Neighbor Totoro
  • Camp
  • Saved
  • Edward Scissorhands
  • Run Lola Run
  • Donnie Darko
  • But I'm a Cheerleader
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Kiki's Delivery Service
  • Cool Runnings
  • Dick
  • Drop Dead Gorgeous
I don't like horror films or chick flicks! Documenteres are cool with me, and I like movies about drugs (I don't know why!) and I hated "Across The Universe."
Also I can get TV series dvds through Netflix. "Smallville" is on my que. I've already gone through "The L Word." I love "South Park" and "House" and I don't know what else to tell you... Just give my some suggestions because "Nacho Libre" is arriving at my house and I'm scared!

p.s. I have will be attending an out of state par-tay tomorrow. I'm packing and doing laundry like crazy even though it is just an overnight thing. I always overpack! I can't help it. I got new custom insoles for my chucks because I screwed up my feet from intense childhood dancing... and the doctor says I should wear them as much as possible. I feel like I must bring those shoes even though I know that I'll only be wearing flip-flops or my party shoes!

p.p.s. Posie cat is still living. It is tough because it is hard to imagine that she is not suffering judging by the ways she looks and breathes, but she puts on such a brave face and we don't know what to do. I wish that poor babe could tell us how she's feeling! I just don't want to choke in the middle of the night and not have a peaceful ending. It is inevitable, suffering or not. It is confusing for my fam because Posie still seems aware of things and we haven't had a pet in this type of situation.

TTFN.

Ugg, Posie Drama.

I received a comment on my Posie (cat) video.
Runies1: And that is one of the reasons why some people take their pets to the vet!! if you knew the cat had a toumer the vet could have removed it and it would atleast have a 50% chance of survival!

but don't worry i aggree with DRLoveH i think it will go to cat heaven where there are lots and lots of mice it could eat and sleep as long as she wants :)

Sorry if my comment didn't help you, i just HAD to and i mean HAD to say something about that poor little cat :(.

Peace.
So of course I had to respond.

Rumspringaa: We take the cat to the vet. I think I mentioned that the surgery would not have benefited her and would put her wayyy more stress than she could handle. The tumor is wrapped around her neck and removing it is an insane process. The vet said that Posie wouldn't be a good candidate for it. There was no medicine the vet could give to help her out.
If you research "feline lymphoma" you will see that even if the surgery increases life span by only 6 about months.

& if you are suggesting that we don't take care of your animals... you have no idea. Last year, my dog (a standard poodle) died at the age of 16! That is reeealy unusual for a big dog. She had many benign tumors which we had removed (she was well enough to survive surgery). She had Addison's disease for the last five years of her life. That means a long drive to Angell Memorial Hospital EVERY month for five years. Yeah. We get them their shots. It seemed as if Posie's tumor developed overnight.

I hear you, but I think you will understand why I am taking it harshly. It is not fair to judge the situation based on the info I could provide in a minute. I don't know where you got the "50% chance of survival" statistic.

Posie is still with us. She doesn't seem to be declining anymore and watched "House" and "I survived a Japanese Game Show" with us. We're doing our best to make her as comfortable as possible.

Generalizing is not nice. Especially about a cat and her owners who love her.

EDIT:
Runies1 has posted a nice reply. It is all cleared up. yay!
I would also like to say that I made this video because one of my biggest regrets about my dog is that I did not capture her life in video. It is a little different because Posie is not in her prime, but I thought it was better than nothing.
Also, we took Posie to the vet the next day after we realized something was wrong, if you care.

ciao.

Addicted

Do you ever find yourself addicted to songs? I could, and do, put these songs on repeat and listen for hours. You can check out my last.fm - I like the strangest songs. I don't have the full albums, don't know anything about the bands... there's just something about these songs!

Current vices:

"Paper Planes" By M.I.A. (This is the song from the end of the Pineapple Apple Express trailer)
&
"Handlebars" by Flobots
&
"Polite Dance Song" by The Bird and the Bee

Sorry if the links aren't behaving!

Fun Times With Photo Booth

Sometimes, you just gotta find some random stuff in your room, and take pictures of them!

Dear shoe, meet hot glue gun! The sole was falling apart. I've had them for a long time!

I fixed it! I really like these shoes because they are comfy and also vegan!

I learned Hebrew in Catholic school...

but Spanish was always my best subject!

Here is a pretty new hoop I made!

I AM KIT KITTEREDGE

My gramma (yes, she MAKES me spell it that way) got minor eye surgery so I emailed her a little "get well" note type of deal. I made it huge font because I didn't know what the status of her sight was... I guess it's okay because she wrote me back in 12pt font:

"Hey "Rumspringaa"!

You sure made me feel good! Thank you for your note...

Have you seen Kit Kiteredge on TV or in the newspaper? I hope I am right with her name. She will star in a movie about the dolls "American Girl". I think that she looks remarkably like you. Perhaps others have told you. I can't wait to see the movie.

Take care and have fun!

Hugs and kisses,

Gramma"

Apparently every time she calls, she mentions me looking like Kit to my dad or mom. I LMAO every time. I think she is confused with Abigail Breslin/Kit/American girl dolls... it is very funny.

My Cat On Her Last Life

Posie is a little timid cat. I think she is 13 years old. We believe she has some type of Lymphoma. Being an orphan, she came with some challenges (she pees on where she shouldn't... she doesn't know how to clean herself!) She is a sweetheart and we will miss her dearly when the time comes.
