I miss summer weather. RAIN/SNOW/Darkness is icky!
I am studying for finals.
I have two tests and two papers to write + some extra credit.
Then winter break.
I am nervous that I will not want to return to school for spring semester after being home for a month for break. Hopefully I will miss my friends enough. All I really do here at home is put myself in a coma so I can sleep through boredom and anxiety. Whoopty doo.
So I've been busy but not really. I feel like I'm busy but I'm not doing much of anything.
How many fingers do you type with? I type "fewer" with just my index finger.
P.S.: Girls, which is longer, you index finger or ring finger?
Arrr I had too much pizza today. Fuck my life.
I hate going the school I currently attend. Hate is such a useless emotion. I am looking into other places to transfer to next year. I have to to pretty well in my current classes to have a change. We'll see.

getting old
I turned nineteen on the sixth of this month. How terrifying! Next year I'll be twenty and really old! What the hell am I doing with my life?
School is ridiculous. I've been going home on the weekends because it is the only way I get work done. At school I just sleep. I am not productive at all. I don't know if I've made friends... I have people to hangout with- a lot of them! Some call me, some trust me... but how long will it last?
I am not doing well in school. The work is not difficult, I just don't do it. The game plan:

I am not doing well in school. The work is not difficult, I just don't do it. The game plan:
- attend all classes
- seek extra help
- delicate three hours a day for homework and studying
- deep-clean and organize my room so there are less distractions
- find out where the library is
*lulz* - have someone proof read my work writing
- lay off the reefer
- eat healthfully for more energy
- make a youtube video once a week because it makes me happy and being happy makes everything better

Nightmares
- I'm sitting around and I realize that the elections happened and didn't know the results. I asked Dick Chenny (who just happened to be sitting there) but he didn't answer but I finally found out that McCain won.
- In my next dream, Obama didn't win, it was Ted Kennedy. Wow. Yeah so Obama, Ted, and my mom came up with some weird plan to switch it and keep Kennedy's honor. We were all living in a cabin with not so much insulation so I suggested that we wisher. It was a big dramatic switch but I just stayed in the cabin's kitchen.
- I went to Victoria's Secret because I had a coupon. Well I was looking around and they had the strangest stuff. There were piles of stuff with prices in the hundreds. Their tags said things like "urinated all over" or "arsenic." Well I made it around the store and found that they were selling lingerie for barbie dolls and also selling sleeping bags. Not cute sleeping bags, just regular old navy blue camping sleeping bags for $17 dollars. I bought one.
- My sister was having this very strange, glow in the dark reception for her wedding.
- I was watching Dateline, or maybe watching it be filled and it was horrific. There were talking about the cost of food and followed this girl named Amanda. Apparently Amanda's family couldn't afford anything so she had to use the Olympic silver metal that she won in Athens to pay for a BigMac.
- It gets much worse from here. Here metal was actualy displayed in McDonnalds and the lady at the counter wouldn't accept it so she called her manager. The manager said they would only accept it if was broken into four pieces so they would be "quarters." Two girls behind the desk have the task of splitting it. They place it on top on one of the girl's heads and smash it with a sledgehammer. The girl screams in pain, finally the metal cracks and so does the girl's skull! A baby pops out! [I woke up]
- There was another one. I can't remember too much. Only that there was a silver earring rack.

4 Things
- I listened to about 30 seconds of the DNC and thought it would be a hilarious drinking game. Apparently I wasn't the first one to think of this. It could get deadly!
- I leave for college this Sunday!!! Those are not happy exclamation marks. Ugh I must pack!
- I am obsessed with Hulu because I'm not breaking the law. It has many of my favorite shows and it is free! I am actualy watching HAIR right now, but I needed a little break.
- I am now a VloggerHead. #633! Woot for being an early adopter and getting elizabeth as my username!

Wedding Summary:

Wedding Summary:
- It rained all night! The paths were so muddy and the beautiful field where the ceremony was going to be was FLOODED!
- We move it inside to the "community center" which is not that glamorous but it was a lovely ceremony.
- Fun times with my cousins and longtime friend.
- The best cake ever!

Olympics!
Dude... Dude... Woah.
A girl I've known since Kindergarten is in Beijing, competing in the Olympics. It is not a surprise at all, I just didn't realize! In fifth grade our city has this "junior Olympics" thing which proves how unphysicaly fit the school children are. No, actually they bring all the public school fifth graders down to the tufts track as a kind of field day. I don't remember doing any sports! Anyway, we had a little mock opening ceremony and Arantxa held the "torch."
Good luck Arantxa!

Kitty!
My sister Megan adopted a cat! He's a grey and white male, approx 1 year old. They named him Sputnik! She emailed me this picture:

Apparently he is a little scared and has been hiding. It sounds like it took a bit of effort to coax him out from under Meg's hamper to this that picture. I am going to see him tomorrow. More pictures for sure!
UPDATE: I saw Sputnik. He is adorable and looks much younger than a year old. He was way too scared for pictures!

Island Wedding
Hello!
My sister's wedding will be on a very rustic, yet lovely, island off the coast of Maine. It is her fiance's family's tradition to get married there. They have a cottage on the island. My sister has been dating her fiance for 9 years, over the course of which she spent many summer days on said island.
Last night, I slept on the island. Thankfully, tonight I'm back in a hotel with the "luxuries" of plumbing and electricity. WOAH.
It was raining when we got there and it was so muddy! Even after my nice warm shower, I still have more dirt in my toes than ever. Yuck.
I spent much of my time walking around the island. It is about 1.5 miles around. It is a good walk.
Anyway,
My sister is getting married in about 14 hours!
Even if it rains it will be beautiful, as they are a beautiful couple who radiate love. Cheesy? yes. True? also yes.

Sigg
You may have seen my orange and blue SIGG bottle in my vitamins video. They are made out of aluminum instead of Lexan, which my other 16 trillion bottles are. Apparently my old beloved Nalgene bottles are toxic!
I had it lying on my bed and my cat, Mufasa, decided that it made a nice coool pillow.
Do you think I should send this picture to the company? Isn't it sweet?
In other news, my sister's wedding is THIS FRIDAY, 08.08.08! I will have very limited internet access for the next few days. I might try to post from my mobile phone just to update.
ciao!

Not a Hipster!
Rumspringaa gets wayyy more interesting comments than Bezelthai ever did.
For example:
That comment = PRICELESS.
My favorite crĆŖpe place is run by hipsters. You kinda want to shake them!
Speaking of hipsters...
For example:
Aug 1: you seriously are so gosh darn frickin' cute...Yeah.
[I asked how he found me]
Aug 2: i forget how i found you... you remind me of an art-school girl... but the cool regular kind.. not a hipster. you are so gosh darn adorable.. and you have a dimple on your right cheek and not the other. ok, i'll stop now.

Standardized Test Flaskbacks!
My sister's wedding is fast approaching and I am getting frantic emails. I don't think she is worried about being married, but about getting married.
Every email is like a multiple choice quiz. Please hun, just send over a scantron sheet. I like them bubbles!
God I don't know what to answer. I think our hair will just get windblown either way! I don't care, I just want what is easiest for her but she can't make that decision on her own. I think she feels like she has to ask if every thing's okay. Deary, you're the bride! I's your day! All we want to do is make it as easy and fun and beautiful and celibitory for you! Ahh.

My favorite thing about these emails is that next to her name comes this beautiful picture:
"I cant see the straws!" ahahaha! I don't drink so she had mine. They were "Pom-Fili": white wine, vodka, triple sec, pomegranate juice. I guess it was pretty strong!
Blah blah blah hair stuff... where do you want to do it?Just to clarify, this is on a limited electricity/pluming island, so everything is 10x more complicated. There are ferries at certain times and ahh! I don't know.
1) island
2) @ the hotel using their electricity/sink then come over (probably on the 11:00)
3) get your hair done in town and come over on the 11:00 (ferry)

Netflix Suggestions Please!
My Netflix queue is pathetic. I need recommendations. To give you an idea of my tastes, I have prepared a list!
My favorite movies are:
Also I can get TV series dvds through Netflix. "Smallville" is on my que. I've already gone through "The L Word." I love "South Park" and "House" and I don't know what else to tell you... Just give my some suggestions because "Nacho Libre" is arriving at my house and I'm scared!
p.s. I have will be attending an out of state par-tay tomorrow. I'm packing and doing laundry like crazy even though it is just an overnight thing. I always overpack! I can't help it. I got new custom insoles for my chucks because I screwed up my feet from intense childhood dancing... and the doctor says I should wear them as much as possible. I feel like I must bring those shoes even though I know that I'll only be wearing flip-flops or my party shoes!
p.p.s. Posie cat is still living. It is tough because it is hard to imagine that she is not suffering judging by the ways she looks and breathes, but she puts on such a brave face and we don't know what to do. I wish that poor babe could tell us how she's feeling! I just don't want to choke in the middle of the night and not have a peaceful ending. It is inevitable, suffering or not. It is confusing for my fam because Posie still seems aware of things and we haven't had a pet in this type of situation.
TTFN.
My favorite movies are:
- Hedwig and the Angry Inch
- My Neighbor Totoro

- Camp
- Saved
- Edward Scissorhands
- Run Lola Run
- Donnie Darko
- But I'm a Cheerleader
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
- Kiki's Delivery Service
- Cool Runnings
- Dick
- Drop Dead Gorgeous

Ugg, Posie Drama.
I received a comment on my Posie (cat) video.
EDIT:
Runies1 has posted a nice reply. It is all cleared up. yay!
I would also like to say that I made this video because one of my biggest regrets about my dog is that I did not capture her life in video. It is a little different because Posie is not in her prime, but I thought it was better than nothing.
Also, we took Posie to the vet the next day after we realized something was wrong, if you care.
ciao.
Runies1: And that is one of the reasons why some people take their pets to the vet!! if you knew the cat had a toumer the vet could have removed it and it would atleast have a 50% chance of survival! So of course I had to respond.
but don't worry i aggree with DRLoveH i think it will go to cat heaven where there are lots and lots of mice it could eat and sleep as long as she wants :)
Sorry if my comment didn't help you, i just HAD to and i mean HAD to say something about that poor little cat :(.
Peace.
Rumspringaa: We take the cat to the vet. I think I mentioned that the surgery wouldnot have benefited her and would put her wayyy more stress than she could handle. The tumor is wrapped around her neck and removing it is an insane process. The vet said that Posie wouldn't be a good candidate for it. There was no medicine the vet could give to help her out.
If you research "feline lymphoma" you will see that even if the surgery increases life span by only 6 about months.& if you are suggesting that we don't take care of your animals... you have no idea. Last year, my dog (a standard poodle) died at the age of 16! That is reeealy unusual for a big dog. She had many benign tumors which we had removed (she was well enough to survive surgery). She had Addison's disease for the last five years of her life. That means a long drive to Angell Memorial Hospital EVERY month for five years. Yeah. We get them their shots. It seemed as if Posie's tumor developed overnight.
I hear you, but I think you will understand why I am taking it harshly. It is not fair to judge the situation based on the info I could provide in a minute. I don't know where you got the "50% chance of survival" statistic.
Posie is still with us. She doesn't seem to be declining anymore and watched "House" and "I survived a Japanese Game Show" with us. We're doing our best to make her as comfortable as possible.
Generalizing is not nice. Especially about a cat and her owners who love her.

Addicted
Do you ever find yourself addicted to songs? I could, and do, put these songs on repeat and listen for hours. You can check out my last.fm - I like the strangest songs. I don't have the full albums, don't know anything about the bands... there's just something about these songs!
Current vices:
"Paper Planes" By M.I.A. (This is the song from the end of the Pineapple Apple Express trailer)
&
"Handlebars" by Flobots
&
"Polite Dance Song" by The Bird and the Bee
Sorry if the links aren't behaving!

Fun Times With Photo Booth
Sometimes, you just gotta find some random stuff in your room, and take pictures of them!
Dear shoe, meet hot glue gun! The sole was falling apart. I've had them for a long time!

I fixed it! I really like these shoes because they are comfy and also vegan!

I learned Hebrew in Catholic school...

but Spanish was always my best subject!

Here is a pretty new hoop I made!

I AM KIT KITTEREDGE
My gramma (yes, she MAKES me spell it that way) got minor eye surgery so I emailed her a little "get well" note type of deal. I made it huge font because I didn't know what the status of her sight was... I guess it's okay because she wrote me back in 12pt font:
"Hey "Rumspringaa"!
You sure made me feel good! Thank you for your note...
Have you seen Kit Kiteredge on TV or in the newspaper? I hope I am right with her name. She will star in a movie about the dolls "American Girl". I think that she looks remarkably like you. Perhaps others have told you. I can't wait to see the movie.
Take care and have fun!
Hugs and kisses,

Gramma"
Apparently every time she calls, she mentions me looking like Kit to my dad or mom. I LMAO every time. I think she is confused with Abigail Breslin/Kit/American girl dolls... it is very funny.

My Cat On Her Last Life
Posie is a little timid cat. I think she is 13 years old. We believe she has some type of Lymphoma. Being an orphan, she came with some challenges (she pees on where she shouldn't... she doesn't know how to clean herself!) She is a sweetheart and we will miss her dearly when the time comes.

Lamb Chop's
I got one of those DTV converter boxes. Instead of getting all the fuzzy chanells, I get a few very crisp, sharp ones. FOX and CW (I was about to write "The WB" hehe) hardly ever work, but this kids network: "Qubo" is very clear and I watched Lamb Chop's Play-Along.
It was fab. Ah memories!
